Refund Policy

We understand that travel plans can change. This policy explains how cancellations and refunds are handled for tours booked with Orchid Vacations or Brahma Holidays.

Booking Confirmation

A booking is confirmed once an advance payment is received. The advance amount and balance payment schedule will be communicated to you at the time of booking.

Cancellation by You

Cancellation charges depend on how close to the travel date you cancel, and on the cancellation terms of our hotel, flight, and transport partners for that specific tour. As a general guide:

• 30+ days before departure: partial refund of the advance, minus any non-refundable bookings already made on your behalf
• 15–29 days before departure: 50% of amount paid may be refunded
• Less than 15 days before departure: no refund, as most hotel/transport bookings become non-cancellable by this stage

Exact cancellation charges will be shared with you in writing before you confirm your booking, as they vary by destination and season.

Cancellation by Us

In the rare case we have to cancel or significantly reschedule a tour (e.g. due to insufficient group size, weather, or circumstances beyond our control), we will offer a full refund or the option to reschedule, whichever you prefer.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds are processed to the original mode of payment within 7–14 working days.

Non-Refundable Items

Visa fees, travel insurance, and certain advance-purchased tickets (flights, trains, special permits) are non-refundable once booked, regardless of cancellation timing.
